Core behavior
- Webpage lookup, YouTube lookup, and AI-powered word lookup are enabled by default in the Chrome Web Store build.
- Users can turn webpage lookup, YouTube lookup, and AI-powered lookup off in extension settings.
- Selecting a webpage word or tapping a YouTube subtitle word may automatically send surrounding context through VocTap's AI backend when AI is enabled.
- Subtitle-line explanations remain available from the line AI icon.
AI provider disclosure
The production AI provider set currently disclosed for launch is: Groq, Gemini.

Existing authenticated support endpoints are reserved for future signed-in product flows and are not the public support mechanism for the Chrome Web Store v1 release.
